Are you a high school student ready to travel? Lane Electric Cooperative will cover all expenses for one lucky high school junior to join the Northwest delegation for the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour this summer.
For more than 50 years, teens from rural America have been offered the unique opportunity to visit the nation’s capital as part of Youth Tour. Roughly 2,000 delegates and staff from electric cooperatives across the country gather each year to hear featured speakers discuss the important roles electric cooperatives play in their communities, meet their elected officials, tour Capitol Hill, and visit America’s historic monuments and museums.
Applicants must be high school juniors whose parents or guardians are Lane Electric members, and cannot be immediate family members of LEC employees or directors. To apply, visit our Youth Tour page. The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, January 20.
