NRECA Youth Tour

Calling Lane Electric High School Juniors! You Could Win a Trip to Washington D.C.

For more than 50 years teens from rural America have been offered the unique opportunity to visit Washington, D.C. as part of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Youth Tour. Roughly 2,000 delegates and staff from electric cooperatives around the country will get to meet their elected officials, tour Capitol Hill, visit America’s historic monuments and museums, and hear featured speakers discuss the important roles electric cooperatives play in our communities.

Entry Guidelines & Applications

The application process is now open. One person will be selected to attend this year’s tour, held June 17-23, 2023. Applicants must be a high school junior whose parent or guardian is a current member in good standing of Lane Electric Cooperative.

I have read and understand that my application must be submitted to Lane Electric Cooperative no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2023 or I will not be considered as a candidate. I also understand and agree that if I’m selected as a delegate for the 2023 NRECA Youth Tour Lane Electric has permission to publish my name and photograph in utility communication channels (Ruralite magazine, Lane Electric website/ social media) as part of the notification process to its membership. I reside within the cooperative’s service territory.(Required)
