Notice of Director Elections

Elections for Board of Directors (Central, Oakridge, and McKenzie Districts)

The term of office for directors in the Central, Oakridge, and McKenzie Districts on Lane Electric’s Board of Directors will expire on May 24, 2023. The application process is open and a strong slate of candidates will be presented to the members in an election in May.

Directors are elected to three-year terms and must live in the district in which they apply. The incumbent directors will be seeking re-election.

Because Lane Electric Cooperative is a corporation, the directors have the same basic duties and responsibilities as a director or officer of any other public or private corporation during their three-year term. Primary duties include setting policy, approving budgets, contractual considerations, working with the General Manager, and monitoring the operations of the cooperative.

How to Run for Election

The position involves approximately six to seven hours of reading per week (some of which is technical material), six to seven hours of monthly meeting time (daytime), plus special meetings, some out-of-town travel, and an ability to work with general manager and other directors.

The standard application deadline has passed.
