Manager’s Message – April 2023
Dear Co-op Members:
Last month, I shared an update regarding the Oregon Legislative Assembly and issues that could impact the operation of utilities.
I was happy to have the opportunity to engage in some of those important conversations in Salem earlier this month as I joined the Oregon Rural Electric Cooperative Association in their efforts to educate lawmakers on the needs of small cooperatives like Lane Electric. We hope to see the dialog with our elected officials continue.
We’ve also just turned our clocks forward, which means spring and our district and annual meetings are right around the corner.
You’ll find dates and locations for those events, which will take place in late April and May, on page 8.
We look forward to updating you on what’s happening at the cooperative and learning what questions you have for us.
