Interested in going to college?  Wondering how you might finance your schooling?  Lane Electric is offering a host of scholarships and options.  What do you need to?  Download an application, complete it, and return it to Lane Electric no later than April 5, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.

Graduating Senior

Overview:  Lane Electric is offering one $4,500 scholarship for persons interested in attending Lane Community College (LCC) in the fall.  This scholarship is intended to cover a full year’s tuition and books.  Graduating Senior scholarships are available to dependents of qualifying Lane Electric members.

This application applies to Graduating Seniors who are interested in continuing their education at Lane Community College.

For this scholarship, a Graduating Senior is defined as: A student who graduates from high school and intends to continue their studies, at Lane Community College in the fall.  To be eligible for consideration, the student’s parents or legal guardian will be a Lane Electric member with an active account, and in good standing with the cooperative.

2018-19 Graduating Senior LCC Scholarship Guidelines & Application

Member At-Large

Overview:  Lane Electric is offering one $4,500 scholarship for persons interested in attending Lane Community College (LCC) in the fall.  This scholarship is intended to cover a full year’s tuition and books.  The At-large scholarship is available to qualifying Lane Electric members.

This application applies to At-Large members who are interested in continuing their education at Lane Community College.

For this scholarship, a Member At-Large is defined as: A Lane Electric member with an active account, and in good standing with the cooperative, who plans to attend Lane Community College.  The spirit and intent of this scholarship is to provide an opportunity for eligible Lane Electric members who have been in the workplace for a period of time; members whose jobs have ended, members interested in changing careers or for parents who have raised their children and are now ready to begin a college career, etc.

2018-19 At-Large LCC Scholarship Guidelines & Application

College of Your Choice

Overview:  Lane Electric is offering four $1,500 “College of Your Choice” scholarships for persons interested in attending any accredited 2-year or 4-year college in the fall.  These scholarships are intended to cover a portion of the tuition and book fees.  These “College of Your Choice” scholarships are available to dependents of qualifying and/or qualifying Lane Electric members.

This application applies to qualifying members and/or their family members who are interested in continuing their education at a 2-year or 4-year accredited college this fall.

For this scholarship, a Qualifying Member of Family Member is defined as: A Lane Electric member, or dependent of a member, who has an active account, and is in good standing with Lane Electric, who plans to attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college in the fall.  The spirit and intent of this scholarship is to provide an opportunity for eligible Lane Electric members, or their dependents, who are interested in beginning a college career.  These “College of Your Choice” scholarships are only available to members and dependents of qualifying Lane Electric members.

2018-19 College of Your Choice Scholarship Guidelines & Application

VOLTA (Vocational Outdoor Line Training Academy)

Background:  Lane Electric is offering a $5,500 scholarship to interested and qualified applicants.  The line construction trade is a rewarding career with exceptional pay and benefits and Lane Electric’s desire is to develop a qualified pool of candidates for future positions in the electric utility industry.

Program:

Lane Electric’s VOLTA scholarship program is available for members and /or applicants whose parent or guardian are active members, in good standing, with Lane Electric.  Applicants must be a at least 18 years old, at the time of enrollment in the VOLTA program, and be a high school graduate by summer of 2018 or hold a GED.
